Vauxhall releases the Astra VXR Arctic Edition

The Vauxhall Astra Arctic Edition will be limited to a run of just 500 units, all of which will be sold in the UK, and Vauxhall plans for the Arctic Edition to be a send off for the current Astra VXR model, before the next version based on the new Astra is released.

All units of the Astra VXR Arctic Edition will be painted in Olympic White with a contrasting black painted roof, mirror covers, front V-grille and tailgate trim. Each car will also get equipment such as heated leather Recaro front seats, tinted glass and Black 19-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels, while the Astra's Panoramic Windscreen can also be specified as an option.

There are no changes under the bonnet however, with the Astra VXR Arctic Edition using the same 2.0-litre turbocharged engine as the standard Astra VXR that produces 240bhp, which is able to propel the car from 0-100km/h in 6.2 seconds, and reach a top speed of 244km/h.
