Vauxhall has premiered the new Astra Sports Tourer.
The Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer continues to sport the sharp looking Vizor front from the Astra hatchback at the front. This front features a single, clean panel that houses the new Griffin logo and various driver and safety aids, as well as the LED head lights and front camera for a clean and uncluttered look.
At the rear, the Vauxhall Griffin sits at the centre of the tailgate, with the rear end featuring the same vertically aligned, high-mounted brake lights as the Astra hatchback.
The cabin also mirrors the hatchback's fully digital Pure Panel human-machine-interface, with a 10-inch driver instrument cluster and a 10-inch digital touchscreen.
Important settings such as climate control can still be selected directly via physical switches below the console for ease of access.
The Astra Sports Tourer provides drivers and passengers with the latest in smartphone connectivity, featuring wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard across all models.
The boot of the Astra Sports Tourer provides up to 608 litres of useful storage space with the rear seats upright, and up to 1,634 litres when folded.
In addition, the 40:20:40-split rear seats fold flat to make it easier to load long and bulky items. An optional 'Intelli-Space' feature will also allow customers to adjust the load floor with one hand into different high and low positions, as well as to tilt it at a 45-degree angle.
This feature however, is not available on the plug-in hybrid variant of the Astra Sports Tourer, which will offer cargo volumes of 548 litres and 1,574 litres respectively. Power from this plug-in hybrid variant stands at 221bhp.
Power ranges from 108bhp and 128bhp for the petrol and diesel variants of the Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer. A six-speed gearbox is standard on the petrol and diesel power units, while plug-in hybrid variants come standard with an eight-speed automatic.
