Lamborghini returned to winning ways at the Hungaroring during the fourth Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup round. The #63 GRT Grasser Racing Team Huracan GT3 shared by Lamborghini Factory Drivers Christian Engelhart and Mirko Bortolotti, secured a memorable success from fifth on the grid. Engelhart displayed lightning-quick reactions to get the jump on the front two rows, then had the tenacity to dive up the inside and snatch top spot on the run down to turn one.
Engelhart was able to pull away and eventually handed over to Bortolotti with a healthy lead. Bortolotti was therefore able to bring the #63 Lamborghini home in first spot to secure the Grasser squad's first Blancpain GT Series victory since the season-opening race at Zolder.
On the same weekend Lamborghini showed great performance in the fifth out of seven International GT Open rounds at Silverstone. Giovanni Venturini and Jeroen Mul, with the Imperiale Racing Lamborghini, took the second place on both races, reducing the gap considerably in the overall standings, where they now lie only 14 points behind. The Imperiale Racing pair in Race Two claimed also the PRO category win.
