Among the performance modifications made to the Polo Cup Race Version include a six-speed manual transmission, an adjustable Sachs racing suspension, an aerodynamic body kit which consists of a front and rear spoiler, aggressive side skirts, and subtle rear wing, a racing seat with a six-point harness and integrated head protection, an FIA approved roll cage, a fire suppression system, and a high performance braking system.
Meanwhile, at the same New Delhi show, Volkswagen also showcased the new Polo hatchback in India for the first time. The new Polo will be launched in India in March, and will have a choice of two engine options, a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 75bhp and 110Nm of torque, as well as a 1.2-litre diesel unit with 75bhp and 180Nm of torque.
