Hardly a trivial business, Sgcarmart's many adventures into both online and print media (MCF Mag) are
the authentic pursuits of an automotive fan that's true blue enough to be familiar terms with the mythical
yet maniacal annual Car of the Year (COTY). Now in it's fifth year, it's time for us, once again, to put
together the best cars of 2013/2014 for your reading and voting enjoyment.
As always, the Editorial Team strives to bring you the latest and most relevant stories to keep you in
the now and this latest manifestation of competition that we have every year isn't just about throwing cars
of the same genre in a category and announcing a winner. More than any other COTY contest, Sgcarmart takes
this competition to a whole new level by ensuring that cars are categorised by various perimeters, such as
body type, size, design, versatility, performance, popularity and value for money.
Originally crafted by the Editorial Team back in 2009/2010, improvements have been made over the years to this competition.
The Editorial Team has grown, the style of doing things has changed, the deliverables have changed. Hell, even our
Associate Editor is finally married. But only one thing remains unaltered: only cars that were launched before 15th October
2014 will be qualified for Sgcarmart's Car of the Year Awards.

This year, more than 20 categories with over 70 models from different brands will be fighting hard to top their respective
categories and only one will emerge as the cream of the crop for our Car of the Year champion. Needless to say, all cars from
all categories will be treated fairly in this competition.
So we hope you are every bit as excited as we are. Sure, there's going to be some chuckle-potential in the outcome of some of the
categories but who else is capable of coming up with pulverising original categories? Who else is writing it like it is and picturing
the cars as such?
