The new MINI Cooper Clubman has four conventional doors, more legroom, a larger trunk and an upscaled interior. But despite its many revised practicalities, its design remains quirky, with exterior proportions that are refreshingly charming. Of course, the best aspect of the Clubman is the way it drives. An enthusiastic powertrain and signature MINI handling ensures that the Clubman delivers smiles for miles, wherever you go.

  • Went to try out the new mini clubman, and i was very impressed by the car. I always thought minis were sort of fashion car, more to look good and cool than actually being fun to drive.
however, the clubman really proved me wrong. The car is very engaging to drive. The steering is very sharp and direct. Power delivery from the engine is good. The car also handles very well, it feel very assured and stable. Great fun.
styling wise i do like how it looks, although i think it will divide people. Its not a very mini car, despite its name and its heritage. But its practical, comfortable, and an all around good car.

The new MINI Cooper Clubman touts a heavy dose of good, conventional sensibility, thanks to greater legroom, a bigger boot and better overall usability.

The Clubman retains much of its sporty, stretched silhouette, long roof line, steep rear and classic design features, while instead of the old car's bi-parting side doors, you now get four proper doors for ease of ingress.

Inside, it's recognisably classic MINI, although the brand has bumped up the quality of the materials a notch. Seats, as before, are extremely comfortable and the sides provide just the right amount of support. And, more importantly, the largest representative of the new MINI generation has great baggage holding capacity. Boot space in the Clubman is a nice 360 litres with the rear bench up and 1,250 litres with them down. In this segment, no one blends form and function nearly as well as the Clubman.

But, it is on the road that the Clubman really sets itself apart. Its punchy engine variants, paired to a well-sorted six-speed automatics, prove to be one of the most enjoyable, incredibly soulful powertrains in the market today.

The car also has an incredible chuckability that is almost appalling for something of its size and stature. Despite its conventional four doors and estate proportions, the Clubman has an uncanny ability to thrill on the roads, especially in Cooper S guise.

The Clubman ticks all the sensible, practical boxes, offering generous amounts of space, a luxurious and comfortable interior and every bit of the quirky charm of past MINIs, making it a definite winner in its class.
