Skoda is one carmaker that gives you a lot of bang for your buck. And this is no more evident than in its flagship Superb family sedan, which has been facelifted for 2020.
The exterior changes might not seem like much, but the Superb looks a tad sharper, with its redesigned bumper along with dynamic turn indicators in the rear.
Inside, the changes are more apparent, especially in the top-spec Laurin & Klement trim. Here, there's a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster with five different screen styles, which complements the 9.2-inch infotainment display that we're all familiar with.
And, you get other fancy stuff in the Superb too, including wireless charging, ventilated seats, cooled compartments, and a 12-speaker Canton audio system.
All these things sound good, but where the Superb truly excels is offering a practical and comfortable space, even without equipment and features. Your rear passengers will be treated to an almost lounge-like experience with the ample legroom on offer. Practicality is also plenty, thanks to large storage spaces inside the cabin as well as the very large 625-litre boot.
And topping it off is a drive that is incredibly comfortable, with a 2.0-litre turbocharged powerplant that delivers an ample 188bhp and 320Nm of torque to get you going.
At its price point, you'd be hard pressed to find a car that's just as big, practical and comfortable as the Skoda Superb. This excellent value-for-money proposition is what allows the Superb to rise to the top of its class.
