I have recommended many friends and club members over as they did a good job on my previous cars. Generally, workmanship was decent and price is reasonable. However, last week was an utter disappointment. I requested for my pair of fog lights to be tinted. And to be absolutely sure it was a doable job, I sent pictures to them. After the staff (Wingz) said ok and I could come down, I rushed down from east side (after my meeting) to their new outlet at Bukit Batok. All excited to get the fog lights done up. To my horror, after I reached their workshop, the staff said it cannot be done because of the nature of the fog light (too many curves they claim won't be able to do) . In my mind, I'm thinking "come on, you guys are vinyl /tint/ wrap specialist, simple 30-45min fog light tinting can't do ? Or isit $15 one side fog light too cheap a job for you to consider? " At that juncture, I also noticed that the workshop was quite full. If so, then why still confirm the appointment with me? I didn't want to say much and left with disgust. Waste my time and effort! Found Vinyl Works when I was looking for a decal workshop thats located in the west near where I reside. Communication with first point of contact Wingz was prompt, upfront and direct. Fixing up an appointment was also very flexible even though my appointment was made at the last minute and I took a late timing which meant they would likely have to work till after hours to complete my job. At the shop I was walked through the things that I wanted done and in the process, given some advice on what are the options I have that could be considered. I liked that I was given time and space to consider the pros and cons and most importantly budget. I appreciated the fact that Wingz was neither pushy nor trying to up-sell, was even told to skip a couple of things I had in mind as the eventual outcome might not achieve the desired effect - helped me saved some money there. Away from the workshop, I was kept updated of the works in progress with photos; although I did not specifically request for it. Myself a believer that we should leave the pros alone to focus on what they do best and then just enjoy the final work of their effort. Nonetheless, this was a value added service and probably helps to give some patrons a peace of mind. Upon collection, I was again walked through the jobs done. Was informed about the after care, some of things to watch out for just in case and was assured regarding the need for any touch up (FOC, if required at all). It was already 8PM on a Saturday no less, mine was the last car there and in truth I felt bad that the team probably burnt their Saturday evening due to my job. But not for a second did I feel like I was not welcomed or given the "can you hurry up and buzz off bro" feeling. Even had the time to casually chat about some of the other products they have and whatnots . . . All in all, my first transaction with the team in Vinyl Works was an entirely positive one, left an impression they really pride themselves on their work and recognized themselves as a service provider.
