I am very grateful to Coleen for giving me the confidence and assurance that the car will be delivered on time if I made my purchase at Esteem Performance. She will do her best to meet the needs of my preferred car choice in terms of cost, car type, specs and accessories . I am thankful for her patience in addressing my queries without being judgmental . This is the kind of service I really want which unfortunately is lacking in many customer service . On TOP of that , her friendliness and sincerity makes me feel confident that I can look for her to resolve any car issue if there is really a need . Now that I have gotten my car from esteem performance , I believe I have made the right choice . Thank you for giving me a peace of mind throughout the whole process .

Have been with Esteem Performance for 4 years during which I got 2 secondhand cars and recently bought a new PI Honda from them, and they have yet to disappoint me. They worked with my budget and requirements and offer good recommendations, many of which I eventually took up.

They also offer a one-stop place for all buying/selling/servicing needs for your car. I have also recommended a few colleagues to Esteem Performance and so far everyone have commended them on their service quality.

My visit to their workshop in Sin Ming left me with a nasty taste in my mouth. I had recently purchased a Nissan Latio last December from their sister company - Esteem Premium Cars Pte Ltd late December. The salesperson at Esteem Premium Cars had assured us that under the new lemon law that had been enacted, second-hand car dealers were required to provide six months warranty on three key areas - engine, aircon and the transmission (gearbox).

After driving the vehicle for about 3-4 months, the aircon's cooling coil developed a link and had to be replaced. We returned to this particular dealer for this particular issue. On this instance, we negotiated a verbal agreement of 50-50 and split the cost of the repair. We paid 190$ for a new aircon cooling coil and the workshop did not charge us for the labour cost incurred for the repairs. (in this instance, we were not strictly following the full coverage of the lemon law.)

On the 29th May, I noticed that the car's aircon was not cold again. I sent it to Esteem's Sin Ming workshop (same premises as Esteem Premium Cars) today (31st May) and was informed by the salesman via phone at 10:32 (see call record screenshot) that the aircon compressor had broken down. A verbal agreement of 200$ was agreed upon for the replacement of the aircon compressor over this phone call and I told him to proceed with the repairs.

I later receive a phonecall at 13:34 that the car was ready for collection. The phone call was very brief.

I arrived at the shop and discovered to my horror that the actual bill for the repair was not $200, as quoted on the telephone, but was $428 (after GST). The boss (one Mr. Lim Sze Chow) told me that there was a communication error between him and his salesperson - and that he underquoted for the cost of repairs to be done. I asked him why wasn't I informed of the price change even when his salesman had called me to inform me that my vehicle was ready for collection. He repeated that there had been a miscommunication between his sales staff and the workshop.

Left with no choice, I paid up for the repairs. It is only now that I look at the invoice (which seemed to be a photocopy of a fax invoice - see photo of invoice), that I noticed the timestamp - the invoice was faxed over at 12:03. The failure of the salesperson to inform me of the increased in cost at 13:34 - to me, felt like a deliberate attempt by this workshop to bait and switch consumers.

Posting my experience here so that people can beware of this particular workshop (and of Esteem Premium Cars Pte Ltd.)
