Dr Yi is really a specialist for engine and gearbox. I told him the problem verbally and he knew what it was even before checking. He said gearbox oil leaking cos of lining. When car lifted up, it was exactly that problem. No gimmicks no hassling. He quote me $800 but final invoice $680. Usually my experience with other workshop is higher final invoice after job done. No shoddy jobs. No quick fix. No skipped steps. No discrimination, no rude language or poor attitudes. Professional. No overcharging. No surprise and very honest pricing. I would give 6 stars if I could. After costly and failed attempts by 2 other local workshops, and another 3 weeks of heading to and speaking with tech heads of different workshops) finally met Ah Yi (Dr Cars); in much desperation. My heart and brain were finally at ease after a technical discussion with him and the steps that he will take to resolve car's high running temp issue. After this 1st conversation, I know that he is the real deal. I was satisfied he knew what he was talking about and what I expected. (I have decades of experiencing in modding cars). Ah Yi personally followed up, oversaw, checked the work from start to finish. His guys worked overtime (into late night) - they have a very busy schedule. But they got the car ready. Checked and checked again, including every single component. I witnessed it all, present onsite. They are fully hands all. Finally the car is running stable again. I cannot explain how pleased I am even though it took a little longer. Don't short change yourself by not having an exploratory chat with Ah Yi.
