Chevrolet has released more details of the upcoming Gen Six 2016 Camaro, including details about the customisation options available. Chevrolet has launched an online visualiser that allows customers to view various personalisation options, including interior and exterior colours, wheels, stripes, and accessrory options.
"The all new 2016 Camaro builds on what made the Camaro the segment leader for five years," said Todd Christensen, Camaro marketing manager. "It will reset the bar in the segment with even greater levels of performance, new technologies not found on any other car in the segment, and more choices that enable customers to take personalisation farther than ever before."
Base models come with Chevrolet's MyLink infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, a rearview camera, automatic climate control, and multiple driving modes. The RS Package adds to the style with 20-inch wheels, HID headlights, LED taillights, a different grille insert, and rear spoiler.
Opting for the SS brings a more aggressive exterior look, plus performance upgrades like Brembo brakes, differential and transmission coolers, and a limited slip differential on those with a manual gearbox. Upgrading to the 2SS adds amenities like heated and ventilated front seats, wireless phone charging, a Bose stereo, rear cross-traffic alert, and Side Blind Zone Alert with Lane Change Alert.
Coupe models with V6 and V8 engines are slated to hit the market by the end of 2015, while convertible models and 2.0-litre Turbo models will arrive in the first quarter of 2016.
