06 Jan 2014|5,587 views
The all new WRX STI will globally premiere at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit on the 14th of January.
Sadly, besides the teaser banner, there are no further details released by the automaker. The WRX STI joins the stock WRX sedan (banner) sibling, which houses a 2.0-litre power unit rated at 268bhp and 350Nm of torque.
According to reports on the Internet, the WRX STI could be propelled by a 2.5-litre lump with up to 300bhp and 392Nm of torque or a 2.0-litre unit from the WRX. No teaser shots have been released but do expect the hallmark large rear wing spoiler and typical motorsports induced aggressive styling to return. The good news - there will not be a five-door model.
