Alpine has revealed more of the A110 R Le Mans, built in celebration of the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Described as the most radical A110 to date, the car is set to make its dynamic reveal joined by 100 Alpine owners on the historic circuit a day before the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
A thin double line of blue and white is applied to the front bonnet, roof and rear wing of the A110 R Le Mans Limited to just 100 examples, the Alpine A110 R Le Mans will retain all the carbon components of the A110 R, as well as the monocoque Sabelt track bucket seats. At the rear, the A110 R Le Mans also gets a carbon wing, said to evoke the one used in the Alpine Elf Endurance Team's A480.
These components, Alpine states, gives the A110 R Le Mans a century sprint time of 3.9 seconds, as well as a 284km top speed.
The A110 R Le Mans differs from the A110 R, however, with the use of a Road and Track chock, said to lower and stiffen the car by 5% for added stability on the track. This, coupled with a model-specific suspension tuning, will enhance the performance of the A110 R Le Mans both in the fast corners of the 24-Hours circuit, as well as on the Mulsanne straight.
The special edition car will come with an exclusive white and blue 24 Heures du Mans livery, comprising a double line of blue and white applied to the front bonnet, roof, and rear wing.
This is finished with the use of blue fins, as well as a blue piping strip on the carbon wheels. The shark fin on the carbon rear window of the A110 R Le Mans is said to reference the one on the A480 which competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The A110 R Le Mans also receives the official 24 Hours of Le Mans signature on the front spoilers, side sills and headrest pads of the Sabelt track bucket seats, while the layout of the 24 Hours circuit is subtly laser-engraved on the sun visor.
All 100 examples of the A110 R Le Mans will also bear a numbered plate from the Dieppe factory with the official 24 Hours of Le Mans signature.
