Alpine Singapore has launched its updated A110 lineup here in Singapore, and with the Formula One weekend now in full swing, the launch event was graced by none other than the BWT Alpine F1 Team's two Race Drivers, Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon!
The event not only saw members of the media alongside a number of Alpine A110 owners in Singapore getting the opportunity to meet the two drivers up close, but also offered the general public the opportunity to witness the unveiling of the Alpine A110 S (which both Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon autographed) all at the heart of Singapore's shopping district in Ion Orchard.
The BWT Alpine F1 Team's two Race Drivers, Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon, were on site to unveil the new Alpine A110 lineup Where the A110 lineup used to begin with the 'Pure' trim model, this facelifted lineup is now simply called the 'Alpine A110'. This car will come with the familiar 1.8-litre engine, here pushing out a total of 248bhp and 320Nm of torque as before.
Inside the cabin, the infotainment system has been revised from the models before so it now supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, still displayed through a centrally-mounted 7.0-inch touchscreen.
Opt for the Alpine A110+, and you'll get Sabelt six-way adjustable sports seats in place of the leather bucket seats in the base A110, alongside an aluminium footrest and aluminium pedals (only the footrest is aluminium in the base A110). Additionally, you'll also get a Focal audio system, which comes with two 165mm flax cone speakers and two inverted dome tweeters.
Opt for the Alpine A110 S here in Singapore and you'll get the car with the aero kit, which adds a carbon front blade and this carbon rear spoiler The Alpine A110+ will also arrive here in Singapore with 18-inch rims, whereas the base A110 gets 17-inch items.
But more exiting perhaps, is the fact that the Alpine A110 is also now available with more power than before.
Those that opt for either the Alpine A110 in 'GT' or 'S' specification will now get their 1.8-litre engine complete with a new calibration that brings total power output to a new maximum of 296bhp, while peak torque has also increased by 20Nm to a new total of 340Nm.
This new power output will see both these high-specification Alpine A110's sprinting to 100km/h from a standstill in just 4.2 seconds, as opposed to the 4.5 second sprint time of the base A110.
The 7.0-inch infotainment system in the cabin now offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility Those that purchase the new Alpine A110 S here in Singapore will also get their cars with the optional aero kit, which comes with a carbon front blade, longer front fairings under the car to step up the efficiency of the rear diffuser, as well as a carbon rear spoiler.
These aerodynamic touches are said to offer a total of 60kg of extra downforce over front wheels, and 81kg extra downforce at the back wheels when the car is travelling at its top speed of 274km/h.
All Alpine A110s that come to Singapore via authorised dealer Wearnes Automotive will come with three years of free servicing.
