Aston Martin introduces special edition N420 V8 Vantage

To applaud itself for doing well at the Nurburgring 24 endurance race, Aston Martin is building the limited edition V8 Vantage N420. The 'N' is for Nurburgring, and the '420' stands for the horsepower™which is 420bhp™in case you were wondering.

The special edition V8 Vantage is a full 27kg's lighter than a standard Vantage, thanks to a generous helping of carbon-fibre. Some of the feather-weight, carbon-fibre components include the front splitter, the rear diffuser, the seats, and special 'N420' sill plaques.

Mechanical upgrades include the Sport Pack performance suspension, with special 10-spoke gloss black wheels, and a new 'sports' exhaust system.

Other features of the N420 package include black mesh vents, unique tail pipe outlets, an Iridium interior package with graphite instruments, the choice of an Alcantara, or leather steering wheel wrap, and special 'Race Track' stitching on the carbon-fibre seats.

Perhaps the most distinguishing feature on N420 option list is the choice of several (very colourful) Aston Martin N24 'Racing Liveries'. Some of the available paint schemes include colours like 'Kermit Green', and 'Elwood Blue'.

The 4.7 litre V8 is unchanged from the stock 420 bhp spec. And, the V8 Vantage N420 package can be ordered for both the Coupé, and the Roadster. With either the 6-speed manual, or Sportshift automated manual transmission.

The Aston Martin V8 Vantage N420 will be available for order this month (July). No word yet on how many they plan to make.
