Audi opens third charging hub of 2025 in Dusseldorf
15 Dec 2025|131 views
Audi has opened its first charging hub - and third overall - at the Euref Campus in Dusseldorf, which is located near the airport.
The hub will have four high-power charging points offering up to 400kW of charging capacity as well as an innovative swivel arm that reduces the weight o the charging cable by around 60%. Height-adjustable displays and generous manoeuvring areas further ensure a comfortable, charging experience.
The Dusseldorf charging hub also offers food and beverage options, restrooms, and several showrooms from companies based at the Euref Campus, which is also a popular event venue drawing more than 100,000 participants per year.
In the spirit of sustainability, Audi relies on a modular construction concept for its charging hubs, enabling flexible adaptation and sustainable use, as well as a short construction time. This also means the hub can be moved to a new site at any time as it does not require large foundations of additional sealed surfaces. Second-life batteries from test vehicles serve as energy storage devices as well as buffer storage, reducing the load on the grid.
With this Dusseldorf site joining the other two in Kiefersfelden and Munich-Westkreuz (making a total of three), Audi is consistently pushing ahead with the expansion of its premium charging infrastructure. Indeed, the brand has already planned new hubs for other German cities in 2026.
