Audi has offered an early look at the interior of the new Q6 e-tron.
The car is set to get a dashboard design that differs from the one we have become familiar with in Audi's current lineup. The Q6 e-tron will get an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit and a 14.5-inch MMI touch display. These two now mimic Audi's Singleframe grille and appear as a free-standing item instead of being integrated into the dashboard.
The two screens also now adopt a curved shaped, so they appear as an arch ahead of the driver, while special ambient lighting will make the screens appear to float at night.
These screens will be accompanied by a 10.9-inch front passenger display, now integrated into the dashboard. This screen comes with a shutter technology that allows the passenger to watch content without distracting the driver. This screen will also allow the passenger to assist with tasks such as navigation.
Audi states that material use has also been revised throughout the cabin, so areas that emphasise comfort will come soft materials, while operating surfaces will come in high-gloss black, offering clarity when users interact with the vehicle.
The Audi Q6 e-tron is additionally set to get an optional Bang and Olufsen Premium Sound System, which comes with 22 speakers delivering 830W of power. Also offered as an option here is a head-up display that utilises augmented reality technology. This display will show relevant information including vehicle speed, while assisting with navigation icons, and is said to be able to project augmented reality content corresponding to a diagonal of about 88 inches from the driver’s perspective.
At the rear, the SUV will offer a total of 526-litres of storage space, although this can be increased to 1,529 litres with the rear row of seats folded. A section under the bonnet will offer another 64 litres of storage space, allowing smaller bags and a Mode 3 charging cable to be easily stored.
