Audi has revealed its updated S3.
Top story for the car (which is still available both as a Sportback or as a sedan) is that its 2.0-litre engine now produces a total of 329bhp and a peak torque of 420Nm, 23bhp and 20Nm more than its predecessor.
Drivers will now be able to select from four different daytime running light signatures for their Audi S3
With this newfound power, the new Audi S3 will pull from zero to 100km/h in just 4.7 seconds (0.1 seconds faster than before). Maximum torque from the new car is also said to now be available across a wide rev range of between 2,100rpm and 5,500rpm.
Pairing with this upgraded engine in the S3 is the use of a torque splitter, which uses an electronically-controlled multiple-disk clutch to optimally distribute engine torque between the rear wheels for increased stability when tackling fast corners.
The car also now produces a total of 329bhp from its 2.0-litre engine, and gets a host of handling upgrades including a revised suspension setup and new brakes discs and callipers within its front wheels
At the front, meanwhile, the car now sports 18-inch steel brakes which now measure 357mm in diameter, and are four millimetres thicker than before. These discs are also now gripped by new two-piston callipers.
On the outside, you'll be able to identify this new Audi S3 via its new grille - which now gets a flatter and wider design - while the front of the car also now sport redesigned air intakes at either side, and a redesigned front spoiler.
And at the rear, the car now comes with a redesigned rear apron. A quad exhaust system, a typical design feature for Audi's S-models, continues to serve on the S3, although Audi is also offering the car with an optional performance exhaust system that makes use of a titanium silencer to deliver a more voluminous sound.
In the cabin, the Audi S3 continues to feature a 10.1-inch touch display alongside the firm's virtual cockpit and gets an inductive smartphone charger as standard. The shifter design and air vents here have also been redesigned, while the car's center console and cup holders now also feature contour lighting.
