Bentley and The Macallan have collaborated to bring us The Macallan Horizon
23 Aug 2022|901 views
Bentley and The Macallan have revealed The Macallan Horizon, the first limited edition single malt whisky being created by the brand collaboration. The vessel crafted to hold the whisky is unlike any whisky bottle ever crafted before. It sits horizontally in a purpose built cradle without a standing base.
The centre of the design is a handmade glass bottle with an extraordinary 180-degree twist, which represents the 'mastery of time and space' achieved by Bentley and The Macallan.
The vessel is then surrounded by an intricately twisted 3D structure crafted in a suite of sustainable yet beautiful materials. For example, recycled copper from the disused small spirit stills were located within The Macallan's former distillery.
Aluminium used was recovered from the production of the Continental GT, Flying Spur and Bentayga at the automaker's home in Crewe, England. The wood used is recycled from both Bentley and The Macallan while the leather is locally sourced from Scotland and boasts being the lowest CO2 leather in the world.
The final component which is the single malt whisky itself is still in the process of being crafted for release. The whiskey itself will also tell a story of recycling and sustainability.
