BMW has revealed that it will be supporting the MotoGP season with a new safety car based on the M2.
The 25th season of the MotoGP will kick off come 24 March 2023 in Portugal. Keeping the riders safe should any incident occur at the event will be the new M2 safety car, which comes equipped with features including a roll bar, Recaro seats, six-point racing harness, a fire extinguisher, the safety car roof bar, and matching front light to assist it in its duties.
With 454bhp from its in-line six-cylinder engine allowing it to speed to 100km/h from a standstill in just 4.1 seconds, keeping up with the event shouldn't be too much of a trouble for the M2.
Several M Performance parts, such as exhaust system, chassis, carbon wing mirror covers, diffusor, and rear wing have also been installed. And the car of course, comes in a standard BMW M safety car livery.
