Borneo Motors Singapore launches the all new Lexus RX

Borneo Motors Singapore unveiled the highly anticipated all new 4^th generation Lexus RX to guests and media partners last Friday at Capella Singapore. Since its introduction in 1998, the Lexus RX has proved immensely popular amongst those seeking the flexibility of a sport-utility vehicle while still enjoying the driving comfort of a luxury sedan, all wrapped in an attractive and elegant package. Introduced for the first time to the RX model range is the RX Turbo, a strong addition to RX's stable of powertrains - the RX 350 and the RX Hybrid.

Built with a drive to make a bold statement in the luxury SUV segment while building on and staying true to the values of previous RX generations, the all new RX is set to elevate your world through its sophisticated design, refined driving performance and innovative technologies, complemented with refinement that is synonymous with the Lexus brand.

The all new RX makes a powerful visual statement featuring a completely new fascia that is highlighted by an emboldened spindle grille with a chrome-plate border, triple L-shaped LED headlamps and a Lexus First Sequential LED Turn Indicator. Its rear appearance has been sharpened and exudes rock-solid stability, highlighted by LED rear combination lamps that wrap around the sides of the vehicle.

The newly reconfigured and redesigned interior balances a sense of spaciousness, with intimacy that proves ideal for driver and passenger comfort alike. While separating the driver seat as a cockpit-like area, a sense of connection has been maintained with the front-passenger seat, and as an added luxury, soft, elegant shapes and materials are used in areas often touched by the occupants. To further heighten the spacious yet cosy setting, ambient lighting are positioned along the metallic ornamentation of the interior door trim, evoking a sense of luxury.

Lexus' Electro Multi Vision Display (EMV) has been significantly increased from 8.0-inch to 12.3-inch and offers outstanding visibility and usability. A feature incorporated into the design of the instrument panel is the colour Head-Up Display (HUD) system that projects pertinent vehicle information that help drivers concentrate on the road ahead with an easy-to-use and intuitive control interface.

When it comes to delivering precise, controlled handling, the all new RX offers impressive dynamic capability. The engine mounting has been improved by relocating the side engine mounts to enhance the vehicle's lateral responsiveness, which provides a sharper steering feel and better overall cornering reaction of the chassis. The front and rear suspension structure has also been enhanced for confident cornering and better overall handling character than its predecessor.

With the newest addition to the RX lineup, Lexus' very own turbocharged engine is unique in its own way. The in-house designed Turbo Engine ensures a high performance and excellent turbocharger of quality, durability and reliability. Built with the uppermost precision with the highest level of meticulous and technical craftsmanship, the Lexus Turbo delivers a perfect balance of fuel economy of 8.4L/100km and an output of 234bhp of smooth and linear performance.

The RX Turbo will be available from end November 2015 and the RX 350 and RX Hybrid will be introduced in Q1 2016.
