Lexus Singapore has proudly announced that Shannon Tan, Singapore's first Olympic golfer, has been appointed as its new brand ambassador, marking a significant milestone in the brand's ongoing efforts to guide and nurture local talent as well as elevate golf in Singapore.
20-year old Shannon Tan enjoyed an impressive first season as a professional in 2024. She finished runner-up in the Webex Player Series Murray River on her professional debut in Australia and cemented her place in history by becoming the first Singaporean champion on the Ladies European Tour (LET) with her victory at the Magical Kenya Ladies Open.
Following her maiden win, Shannon secured four additional top 10 finishes over the LET season, ranking sixth on the Order of Merit. Her performances earned her a spot in the final stage of the LPGA Q-Series, and she also had the honour of representing Singapore at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Going forward, Shannon Tan will be competing in the prestigious HSBC Women’s World Championship (HWWC), which will take place at Sentosa Golf Club from 27 February 2025 to 2 March 2025, and provide her with the opportunity to rub shoulders with the world's top players on her home turf.
This also marks Lexus' fifth consecutive year as the Official Automotive Partner of the HWWC, during which the brand will showcase the all-electric RZ450e Luxury SUV as a Hole-In-One prize.
In addition, Lexus has also extended its partnership with the Singapore Golf Association (SGA) until 2026, with a key highlight of this collaboration being Singapore's hosting of the World Amateur Team Championships (WATC), which will be held at Tanah Merah Country Club from 1 October 2025 to 11 October 2025, where the brand will serve as its Official Automotive Partner.
