The local Lexus distributor - Borneo Motors - has announced the return of the highly popular ES model to our island, after an absence of seven years. The sixth generation model will be launched locally in the last quarter of the year.

The standard ES250 will be powered by a 2.5-litre in-line four-cylinder unit rated at 184bhp and 235Nm of torque linked to a six-speed ECT transmission.
The premium Japanese firm believes the new ES models will continue Lexus' reputation as the leader in automotive luxury and refinement, while expanding the brand's class leading selection of Hybrid vehicles.
The all new ES has its wheelbase extended by 45mm for a longer and more spacious cabin and only minutely affects the overall vehicle length. The body is also lowered by 5mm, which enhances aerodynamic performance and with the wheels set out further, creates a wide and low stance.
Pre-orders and bookings for the ES models are available at Borneo Motors. Borneo Motors believes the ES, which previously made its reputation among Lexus Singapore owners as a popular mid-sized luxury sedan, will once again deliver exemplary comfort, contemporary luxury as well as dynamic composure and refinement.
"We are very excited about the launch of the all new ES model range in Singapore. The new ES epitomises the luxurious comfort, refinement and supreme craftsmanship synonymous with Lexus and at the same time, delivers a well-balanced and confident driving dynamics for an exhilarating driving experience. The reintroduction of the ES in Singapore is fuelled by a strong, continued customer demand," said Mr Klaus Redomske, Marketing Director, Borneo Motors Singapore.
Pricing for the ES range will be made available at a later date.
