Bridgestone Group provides tyres for Typhoon Haiyan relief efforts

Due to the devastating Haiyan typhoon, which hit the central Philippines on November 8th, the Bridgestone Corporation has announced it will donate 50 tyres for disaster rescue vehicles through the Japanese Red Cross Society to support relief efforts.
This is in addition to the approximate 13.9 million yen (SGD$175,071) donation it provided, through the local and Japanese Red Cross Societies on the 12th of November.
The Japanese firm is proud that products core to its business can play a role in the recovery, enabling vehicles to perform at such critical times. The entire Bridgestone Group hopes for a swift recovery for the people and the areas impacted by the natural disaster.
Besides cash and tyres, Bridgestone Precision Molding Philippines Inc. donated goods such as food and water through the Philippine Red Cross Society.
