BYD rolls 5 millionth new energy vehicle off production line
BYD has surpassed a new milestone with its five millionth new energy vehicle rolling off the production line.
The special car in question was a Denza N7, which rolled off the line on 9 August 2023 at the firm's plant in Shenzhen, China.
The firm states that it has seen remarkable growth in the sales of its new energy vehicles, with total sales volume reaching 1.5 million from January to July this year. This number includes a total of 92,469 units sold outside of China, more than the firm's total overseas sales for the entirety of 2022.
The firm's Atto 3 is said to be leading new energy vehicle sales in countries including Thailand, Israel, and even here in Singapore. The firm's electric public transport solutions are also now said to be operational in over 400 cities across more than 70 countries. The firm also announced in July 2023 plans for three new factories in Brazil.
