The Yuan Plus (or Atto 3, as it’s known in international markets) is one of BYD's most popular global models, especially in Singapore.
And at Auto China 2026, attendees were treated to the debut of the car's third gen, which features a sharp design, Flash Charging tech, God's Eye B, LiDAR-assisted automated driving systems, and an intelligent cabin.
Its new design incorporates a longer wheelbase than the second gen model, complete with a balanced look between bodywork and glass area. A character line, inspired by a city skyline, runs along the Yuan Plus' flanks, while its D-pillar creates a "floating roof" effect.
There are semi-concealed door handles, and the taillights feature a new LED design that gives a three-dimensional effect. The rear logo is also illuminated to resemble an energy emblem formed of converging starbursts.
Inside, a new two-spoke steering wheel design incorporates buttons with a concave profile. It is also now possible to select gears without taking your hands off the wheel. And thanks to its panoramic roof, the cabin is bathed in natural light.
Additional interior features include a 16-speaker audio system, a special front passenger seat with extra reclining function, an air-conditioner-powered refrigerator, wireless and USB Type-C phone charging, as well as 256-colour ambient lighting.
The Yuan Plus features a total of 39 storage areas throughout, including a 750-litre trunk and a 180-litre frunk, of which the latter can be opened with a simple tap.
Two variants are offered for the model: A 200kW option with a 57.545kWh battery (WLTP range of 540km) and a 240kW option with a 68.547kWh battery (WLTP range of 630km). Both are rear-wheel driven, with the 200kW variant coming with 18-inch wheels (19-inch for the 240kW variant).
