CarTimes Group launches two Linxys electric vans in SG

A couple of new electrified models have been launched on our shores, and while they may not turn as many heads as a new SUV or sedan would, they're still very much worth a gander.
Having been appointed as the sole authorised dealer for Linxys by Quantum EV, CarTimes has set about its new role with the launch of two new electric vans: The Linxys G100R Practical Cargo Van and the G50 Piccolo Lifestyle Mini Van, marking its strategic expansion into commercial electric mobility.
This launch marks a decisive step in CarTimes' long-term transition toward electrified transport solutions in Singapore
Before we get to the vehicles, here's a little bit about Linxys, for those who don't know much about the brand: It was launched in 2023 as an affiliate of Wuling Motors Holding. And with a production capacity of 200,000 units per year, it is said to have made significant inroads beyond Asia, including Latin America, Europe, Japan, and South Korea.
Now, onto the first of the duo: The Linxys G100R. Its cargo compartment measures 2,668mm long, 1,457mm wide, and 1,340mm tall. With a wheelbase of 3,050mm, a 5,200-litre loading space, and a payload capacity of 1,120kg, it should be able to handle delivering and transporting goods with relative ease.
The G100R features Electronic Stability Control, a high-strength steel frame, and full UNECE collision safety certification
Equipped with a 41.86kWh battery, the G100R offers a WLTP city driving range of 316km (252km combined) and DC fast charging, which allows it to recharge from 30-80% in 30 minutes. Its electric motor produces a peak output of 60kW and 220Nm of torque. It seats two in the front cabin, with airbags for both driver and passenger. Standard features include a reversing sensor, tyre pressure monitoring system, and a reverse camera.
Next up, arguably the more "luxurious" of the two: The Linxys G50 Piccolo, described as Singapore's first fully electric kei-style van. Unlike the G100R, it's a lot more compact, although its cargo space offers padded flooring, offering users a comfortable area to snag a quick nap, or the option of a romantic picnic with your significant other. Just remember to bring along electric fans and bug spray. We are living in Singapore, after all.
But that's not to say that the G50 Piccolo can't handle deliveries. Sure, it offers less than half the load space of the G100R (2,500 litres) and a significantly lower payload capacity (350kg), but having a vehicle that can double up as a delivery van and a low-cost date idea should appeal to those who dream of doing Lalamove in the day and La La Land in the evening.
And although the G50 Piccolo offers a smaller battery (30kWh) and lower driving range (259km of WLTP city driving range, 166km combined) than the G100R, its DC fast charging timing remains the same as the latter: 30-80% in 30 minutes. It does have a lower output too (30kW and 125Nm of torque), but it's less of a racer and more of a city camper anyway. You wouldn't be doing doughnuts with an electric van anyway, right? Right? If anybody asks, I plead the fifth.
The one thing the G50 Piccolo does have over the G100R is its plethora of standard equipment, some of which include an Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Stability Control, and Hill Start Assist. Move off Alert and Auto Park Gear Assist is also available, although I suspect most should have little trouble manoeuvring the rather compact electric van.
CarTimes will be offering both the G100R and the G50 Piccolo at an exclusive launch price of $98,800, valid till 30 November 2025. Both models will also be backed by the brand's in-house aftersales network and come with a five-year/200,000km warranty on both chassis and major components, as well as an eight-year/500,000km EV battery warranty.
