Casio Edifice has launched a new series of solar-powered chronograph, the EQS-930.
The watch is equipped with a carbon fiber dial, and has a high visibility colour applied on the second hand, following feedback from racers of the Scuderia AlphaTauri Formula One Racing Team.
Casio original light-shielding and distributed solar technology make it possible to obtain sufficient power generation using only the light that passes through three small inset dials. The watch is available in four different colors: silver, black, grey, and blue, with prices starting from $229 for the blue, and reaching to $299 for the grey with the stainless-steel band.
A battery indicator on the face of the EQS-930 makes it easy to check the battery balance from the solar-powered system. A full battery charge will provide for approximately five months normal operation. The watch also comes with a stopwatch function and is water-resistance up to a depth of 100m.
