Opel and Bandwerk launch new Apple watch strap

Opel has teamed up with accessory brand Bandwerk to launch a series of limited edition watch straps for Apple watches.

Inspired by the Manta GSe, the new straps, part of a Timeless Energy collection which will comprise various memorabilia inspired by the same car, are expected to appeal to trendsetters and traditionalists alike. The straps are made by upcycling two 1970 original black front seats of the legendary Manta A and will make their debut as part of open door day, which Opel will host as it marks the 125^th anniversary of automotive production come 8 June 2025.

The straps feature a yellow frame design, described as following after the detoxed design language that has informed the design of the Manta GSe. The straps additionally feature a functional Blitz-texturing on their internal anti-transpiration layer, and also feature a sculpted Manta detail in metal to fasten the strap in place.
