Citroen DS4 has been a big hit since its launch a year ago, earning a slew of accolades around the world for its beautifully sculptured bodywork. Under its belt is also the sgCarMart 'Best Design of the Year' award.
Now, the coupe crossover gets more flavourful and practical, with a total of three variants offered on our local shores. Besides the 1.6 THP 155 Automatic which we tested late last year, Cycle & Carriage France is introducing the 1.6 e-HDi THP 115 EGS - a diesel variant which boasts savings in running costs and a $15,000 CEVS rebate. There is also a 1.6 THP 200 Manual catered for those looking for a more spirited drive.
Similar to the C4 e-HDi, the DS4 e-HDi has earned the 'Airdream' eco-label. To qualify for the label, a car must emit no more than 140g/km of CO2, produced in accordance to ISO 14001 standards, and 95 percent recoverable.
Other features of the DS4 e-HDi include a Stop & Start system, an e-booster for instantaneous engine restart in just 0.4 seconds, and an electronic control system for the alternator for energy recovery. In addition, the EGS gearbox also features optimised ratios for better fuel economy.
