| A | $111,890 | ▲ $3,670 | 1,264 | 1,895 |

| E | $118,119 | ▲ $3,229 | 246 | 422 |
Those expecting the recent jump in petrol prices to put downward pressure on new car purchases must be feeling rather disappointed.
COE premiums have continued to climb across all private car categories through this second COE bidding session for the month of March. This continued climb in premiums this session could be due to the fact that this week is likely to be the last for the dealers that offered customers at the 2026 Singapore Motor Show a three-month guaranteed COE package.
Whether COE premiums will continue to climb with high petrol prices and the threat of a looming economic downturn from the war in the Middle East is anyone's guess. But if you're not that forward looking (or already need to secure a car in the coming weeks), at least there's our very own Beyond Motion event to visit - where you should be able to shop from a wide selection of electrified vehicles, and hopefully keep that bill at the pumps under control.
