Dacia has announced that its Sandrider team has completed its initial testing phase as they prepare for the 2025 Dakar (read more about the Dacia Sandrider prototype here).
The team states that the Dacia Sandrider spent a total of four days at the Sweet Lamb testing complex in Wales, before heading to the Chateau de Lastours in France for another four days of intense testing. Three crews in total had the opportunity to test the Sandrider, which was fitted with BF Goodrich tyres to assess its ability on rocky and demanding terrain.
The Dacia Sandriders' Team Principal Tiphanie Isnard has confirmed that the initial testing phase has exceeded expectations with very few issues experienced.
Extensive work at Dacia now under way ahead of its first comprehensive test in Morocco which will see the Sandrider put through its paces on terrain similar to what will be encountered during the Dakar.
