Local authorised distributor Kah Motor has launched the refreshed Honda Jazz here in Singapore.
The popular rival of the Nissan Note e-POWER is being launched with a hybrid drivetrain, which pairs a 105bhp 1.5-litre engine with two electric motors.
Customers here will now be able to opt for the Jazz Crosstar, which comes with black lower body panels and roof rails for that crossover-like look These motors now offer a total of 121bhp, an increase from the 107bhp output of the pre-facelift model, promising increased efficiency for this facelifted Jazz.
Kah Motor states that the combined system output for this new Jazz e:HEV has been raised to a new total of 130bhp, which compares favourably with the 114bhp total system output of the Note.
More interesting to local buyers, perhaps, is the fact that this Honda Jazz will now be available with the Crosstar variant at launch. This variant gets a different grille design, roof rails, and black lower body panels complete with chrome inserts, all to give the car a more crossover-like look.
With this updated drivetrain, the regular Jazz will achieve a claimed fuel economy of 22.7km/L, while the Jazz Crosstar sports a claimed economy of 22.2km/L.
The Jazz and Jazz Crosstar both get a 9.0-inch infotainment display alongside a 7.0-inch TFT instrument cluster in the cabin New design touches for the facelifted Jazz, meanwhile, include the use of a new grille design, as well as darker head light inserts and an updated rear bumper. Customers will also now be able to get their Jazz or Jazz Crosstar in Fjord Mist Blue, a colour which we first saw on the Honda Freed.
In the cabin, this new Jazz continues to utilise a 9.0-inch infotainment display alongside a 7.0-inch TFT instrument cluster. And further back, the firm's popular ULTRA seats continue to feature. These come with a base that can be folded upwards, so taller items can be transported in the passenger cell of the car.
The Jazz comes to Singapore equipped with safety features including Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keeping Assist. The car is also equipped with a Collision Mitigation Braking System and a Lane Keeping Assist System. A total of five exterior colours are being offered for the Jazz and Jazz Crosstar, although the Jazz Crosstar can additionally be had in three dual-tone colour options that will get a roof finished in Crystal Black.
Kah Motor is offering the Jazz here with an exclusive five-year unlimited mileage warranty and a five-year battery warranty.
