Fiat has revealed the new E-Ulysse, an all-electric people mover that marks the brand’s return to the MPV segment in Europe.
The Fiat E-Ulysse is based upon the PSA EMP2 platform which also underpins vehicles such as the Citroen e-Dispatch and the Opel Vivaro-e. This means the Fiat, as the other two vehicles, gets either a 50kWh of 75kWh battery, feeding current to a 134bhp electric motor.
Fiat states the E-Ulysse can be charged at up to 11kW via an alternating current charger, or at 100kW via a direct current charger.
The cabin of the Fiat E-Ulysse is designed to offer the comfort of a living room. Contributing to this high comfort is the large panoramic sunroof, consisting of two panels measuring 40cm by 1m each.
And resting between the two panels is the air conditioning diffuser with six individually adjustable vents and built-in temperature/power control, to ensure ideal comfort throughout the car. Two LED strips here also guarantee pleasant, relaxing in-car lighting.
Opt for the seven-seater 'Lounge' trim and you'll also get large seats equipped with reclining armrests and a folding table can also be slid in between and the second and third rows in the car. All rear seats of the seven-seater variant and the eight-seater 'Shuttle' are mounted on rails to allow them to be easily moved, reclined, or removed.
Produced at the Stellantis plant in Hordain, France, orders for the E-Ulysse will open in March for selected European markets.
