The 3-Door version of the Fiesta ST Concept was previewed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and Ford will now unveil the 5-Door version of the Fiesta ST Concept at the Los Angeles Motor Show that will take place in November.“With the Fiesta ST Concept, we are demonstrating that our global performance plan has legs," says Jost Capito, Ford director of Global Performance Vehicles, who added, "The Fiesta ST Concept shows in the most dramatic way possible that the qualities that define an ST are not limited to one model [the Focus ST]. The potential for delivering the ST experience to an even wider audience is laid bare by this exciting new concept."
The 5-Door Fiesta ST Concept gets the same styling cues as the Fiesta ST Concept 3-Door, with a bespoke front end, a series of aerodynamic enhancements, a lowered suspension and widened wheel arches filled with 17-inch alloy wheels.
The concept uses a 1.6-litre EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that delivers an output of 180bhp and 240Nm of torque, with power transferred to the front wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. Ford has not confirmed the production status of the Fiesta ST, but an announcement is expected to be made soon.
