Ford unleashes the Fiesta S1600

The Fiesta S1600 comes in a choice of two special edition body colours, Frozen White with blue double racing stripes or Performance Blue with white racing stripes. A body kit with a new front bumper, side skirts and a spoiler and diffuser for the rear completes the aggressive look.

There are two engine options for the Fiesta S1600. The first is a 1.6-litre Ti-VCT Duratec petrol with 120bhp, while the other is a 1.6-litre TDCi diesel with 95bhp. Ford will also offer an optional engine upgrade from Mountune, which increases the petrol engine's power output to 140bhp and drops the car's 0-100km/h sprint time from 9.9 to 7.9 seconds.

The petrol model also comes with new 17-inch white alloy wheels, while the diesel gets the same alloy wheels in 16-inch size. The interior features alloy pedals and Quickclear windscreen, heated, stitched leather sports seats with standard side-airbags, leather steering wheel, handbrake cover and gear knob, plus Motorsport-branded floor mats and scuff plates. Only 650 units of the Fiesta S1600 will be made available for sale in the UK.
