Great World to house nation's largest public EV charging hub

There's been more reason than before to visit Great World (or what the older ones among us will probably know as Great World City) since it was refreshed in 2020 and since Great World MRT station was opened along the Thomson-East Coast Line.
Now, however, the appeal of the mall is set to increase even further to electric vehicle (EV) owners specifically with what has been claimed to be Singapore's largest public EV charging hub. To be progressively rolled out by Great World's developer, Allgreen Malls, the charging hub will be operated by Great Charge, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Allgreen Properties Limited.
Among the 55 charging points at the EV charging hub are 480kW and 180kW DC outlets, as well as 22kW AC outlets
To be located at Great World's B3 and B3A carpark, a whopping total of 55 different charging points count to this hub, with the headlining figure being 20 ultra-fast 480kW DC charging points sourced from Huawei. This will make Great World one of the first locations locally to feature the ultra-fast chargers, which can recharge the equivalent of around 200km of driving range in as little as five minutes.
Also included within the hub are 12 separate 180kW DC outlets, as well as 23 other 22kW AC outlets - for EV drivers who want to spend a bit more time in the mall.
Altogether, Allgreen Malls believes that the high density of chargers should allow EV drivers to "almost always be assured of finding an available lot", with the promise of some of the lowest charging rates on the market too during this initial launch phase.
The launch of the charging hub at Great World comes approximately one year after Allgreen Malls launched its first charging hub in Pasir Ris Mall in December 2024. Also operated by Great Charge, it comprises 20 separate 180kW DC charging points.
To celebrate the latest launch, Allgreen Malls has launched a special Wheels of Joy lucky draw, with one lucky winner set to walk home with the all-new Zeekr 7X as the grand prize. Three additional winners will each enjoy an exclusive one-week staycation in Great World Residence's 2-Bedroom Apartment.
Visitors to both Great World and Pasir Ris Mall are eligible for the draw, with every $20 charge at stations in either mall, or every receipt with a minimum spend of S$60 at any Allgreen Mall, qualifying as one entry.
Furthermore, from 7 December 2025 to 31 January 2026, taxi or private-hire vehicle drivers who charge their EVs at either mall will be able to redeem a voucher for a complimentary Toast & Small Hot Beverage from Toast Box*.
To redeem the voucher, all drivers will need to do is flash their vocational license and proof of same-day EV charging (again, with a minimum charge of $20) at the Customer Service counter at either mall.
*Limited to first 240 redemptions at each mall, while stocks last. Terms and conditions to apply.
