Honda has announced that its 2023 Accord has secured the U.S.A Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's Top Safety Pick+ safety rating.
The car is said to have earned the highest possible rating in six out of the total seven evaluated categories for the safety tests. The car also earned a 'superior' rating for the 'Front crash prevention: vehicle-to-pedestrian (day)' category, and an 'advanced' rating in the 'Front crash prevention: vehicle-to-pedestrian (night)' category.
All Honda vehicles in the U.S.A including the Accord also now benefit from Honda's proprietary Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure, designed to protect occupants in a wide variety of frontal collisions, along with advanced supplemental restraint systems, such as pre-tensioning front seatbelts, and front, side, knee and side-curtain airbags.
