Hyundai and Genesis win seven 2020 Red Dot Design Awards

Hyundai Motor Company and Genesis have won seven 2020 Red Dot Design Awards. This year, the companies took the 'Best of the Best' and six winners, all in the Brand and Communication Design area.

The 'Best of the Best' under the subcategory Integrated Campaign in the Advertising category went to Hyundai's brand campaign film Second First Steps, which also secured a Winner under the subcategory Online Film in the Film and Animation category.

Hyundai also grabbed five Winners for Hyundai's 'Hi-Charger' in the Interface and User Experience Design category, Hyundai X BTS Goods in the Advertising category, 'Future Mobility Solutions Exhibition Hall' in the Fair Stands category and 'FIFA World Football Museum' in the Spatial Communication category.

The Genesis brand took home a Winner in the Interface and User Experience Design category for its copper design in the Genesis Infotainment System. This is the first Red Dot Award that the Group received for its infotainment system.

Previously, Hyundai won awards in Product Design starting with its first Red Dot Award for the 2012 i30 and has won multiple awards every year since 2018 in the Brand and Communication category. Started in 1955, Red Dot Design Award is recognised as one of the three prestigious global design honours along with iF and IDEA. Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Germany hosts the awards every year, judging entries for Product Design, Brand and Communication, and Design Concept.
