The interior has also been redesigned, with cues taken from the Veloster coupe, and features such as the pair of deep-set gauges and a prominent centre console all highlights of the new i30’s interior design.
Hyundai will launch the new i30 as a hatchback initially at the Frankfurt Motor Show, with a choice of fuel-efficient four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines, but an estate variant is expected to follow shortly, replacing the current i30 Estate, also known as the Elantra Touring in some markets.
The all-new i30 uses Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture design language that was first seen on the i40/Sonata sedan, and the Elantra family car. This includes the new Hyundai large hexagonal front grille, wraparound headlamps, a bulging belt line and pronounced front wheel arches.
