Hyundai supports Busan's bid to host World Expo

The Hyundai Motor Group is throwing its support behind the city of Busan in its bid to host the 2023 World Expo.

The group will be providing a fleet of 10 electric vehicles during the 172^nd Bureau International des Expositions (BIE) General Assembly which will be held in Paris. All the cars come wrapped with the Busan logo, and will serve as transportation to the Korean delegation.

Come 21 June 2023, when Korea's official reception will be held at the exposition, the vehicles will additionally be used to transport the representatives of each country between the General Assembly hall and the reception hall. The vehicles include the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and Kia EV6.

The cars will promote Busan as a candidate for hosting the World Expo to major figures from the BIE member countries as well as to tourists from all over the world who are visiting Paris, as they will also drive around around major tourist attractions including the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower.
