International Motors Limited to partner with XPENG

International Motors Limited (IML) has recently announced a partnership with XPENG, as part of the latter's European expansion, to be its official U.K. distributor.

Renowned as a distributor for car manufacturers in the U.K., Irish, and Northern European markets, IML deals with vehicle import to aftersales car, working with various manufacturers to provide distributor services across several markets.

This partnership marks a milestone moment for XPENG, with the U.K. having been long highlighted as a key market in its European expansion plan

The zero-tailpipe emission, pure-electric XPENG G6 will be the brand's first car to launch in the U.K., offering 800-volt supercharging and an extended driving range. The mid-size, ultra-smart coupe SUV will be tailored to European preferences and offers a next-generation driving experience.

This is not XPENG's first foray into the European market, with deliveries beginning in Norway as early as 2020. The G6 was also recently awarded a Euro NCAP five-star safety rating, and it will be launching to U.K. customers in early 2025.

By end 2025, XPENG aims to be present in and achieve half of its total sales from global markets.
