Jameel Motors and Zhejiang Geely Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group (Farizon Auto) have signed an agreement to distribute new energy commercial vehicles in the U.K. market, starting with the Geely Farizon SV Electric Van.
The SV was designed specifically to meet the needs of European fleets and incorporates advanced technologies and groundbreaking innovations. The brand states that it has undergone a 1,609,344km testing and development programme, and has met or exceeded every European standard in terms of durability, safety, and sustainability.
Built from a bespoke 'born electric' modular platform, it offers benefits in cargo space, range, handling, and safety, with additional highlights such as cell-to-pack technology. The SV also introduced the first ever dual-redundancy drive-by-wire platform in the global van market, increasing load capacity with an extra-low loading height.
Three vehicle lengths and three heights will be offered from launch along with two battery sizes (67kWh and 83kWh) with a third (106kWh) to follow. Full U.K. specification and pricing will be released in due course, with sales set to commence in the first half of 2025.
