Kia has revealed the first details of the EV3 and EV4 concept cars.
The firm has revealed that the interior of the Concept EV3 has been inspired by the element of Air, and has thus been designed to be a light and transparent space. The Concept EV3 is also said to get seats that are made of natural fibre structures, allowing them to be both lightweight and slim, while remaining exceptionally soft. Kia states that this new material allows the seats to be built with zero waste material.
The Concept EV3 also gets a console table that is grown instead of manufactured. This is made possible by growing Mycelium within a mould. The sustainable solution not only offers excellent strength, but also delivers an extremely soft surface.
The Kia Concept EV4, meanwhile, takes inspiration from the element Earth. The interior of the car thus makes use of recycled cotton, dyed using madder roots and walnut shells to deliver a near-endless range of tonalities and hues.
Hand woven fabric stripes are also used on the car's storage area and dashboard, generating a three-dimensional effect mirrored on the car’s seat covers, to deliver an ambience of sheer uniqueness and exceptional quality.
The car also gets a console table, this time built from hemp fibres. This material is not only sustainable material, but also adds rich colour to the cabin of the vehicle.
