Kia Slovakia hits new production milestone

Kia Slovakia has marked the production of its five millionth vehicle, a milestone said to highlight its success through consistency and innovation.

The special car was a hybrid Sportage. The model also accounts for more than 2.5 million of the five million vehicles from Kia which have been produced in Zilina. This figure is followed closely by the Ceed, of which Kia Slovakia has produced 2.1 million examples.

The firm currently produces close to 1,500 examples of the Ceed and Sportage per day, which are mainly exported to the U.K., Germany, Sweden, and Spain. The Kia factory in Zilina uses 100% renewable energy for its operations.
