Lamborghini has presented the new Huracan Sterrato at Art Basel, Miami Beach. Lamborghini says that the super sports car was designed for driving pleasure even away from the asphalt on loose or dirt surfaces.
The Huracan Sterrato comes with an updated version of the LDVI (Lamborghini Integrated Vehicle Dynamics) system, with specific Strada and Sport calibrations. It also introduces Rally mode for low-grip conditions to the Huracan range for the first time.
The ground clearance of the Huracan Sterrato has been increased by 44mm compared with the Huracan EVO to ensure greater suspension travel, as has the front (+30mm) and rear (+34mm) track widths.
Lamborghini has taken extra precaution in protecting the body of the Huracan Sterrato during off-road driving, giving the car aluminum front underbody protection and reinforced sills.
An air intake located on the rear hood helps to supply the engine with clean air when driving on dusty tracks.
The Huracan Sterrato will get the familiar 5.2-litre V10 engine, which produces 601bhp and 560Nm of torque The Huracan Sterrato comes with a 5.2-litre V10 engine that pushes 601bhp and 560Nm of torque, combined with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and electronically controlled all-wheel drive with rear mechanical self-locking differential. It accelerates from zero to 100km/h in 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 260km/h.
The car's brakes come with aluminum fixed monoblock calipers with six pistons (front) and four pistons (rear) ventilated and cross-drilled carbon-ceramic discs, with 380mm diameter and 38mm thickness at the front and 356mm diameter and 32mm thickness at the rear.
Bespoke Bridgestone tyres have been designed specifically for the Huracan Sterrato. These include an innovative pattern design and a compound that provides high levels of grip on both gravel and tarmac, while maintaining performance.
The Huracan Sterrato also comes with a connected telemetry system, which allows the driver to monitor performance and analyse the data via the UNICA app.
Apple Watch users can also synchronise their heart rate information with the on-board telemetry system to measure their driving performance.
The Huracan Sterrato will have a limited edition run of 1,499 units, with production to start in February 2023.
