Lexus releases photos of the CT200h

The details were revealed through a leaked brochure, and the production car is based on the LF-Ch concept car that was showcased at last year's Frankfurt Motor Show. The CT200h has a 1.8-litre four-cylinder VVT-i petrol engine mated to a magnet synchronous electric motor.
Performance figures have not been released, but Lexus says that the engine is "powerful." The high-voltage battery is powered by nickel-metal hydride, and the CT200h is front-wheel-driven, with power going to the front via an electrically-controlled continuously variable transmission, or E-CVT.
Like the concept, the CT200h is a sleek five-door hatchback with sporty overhangs at the front and a spoiler at the rear. The pictures also indicate that LED lights are used at the rear. The CT200h measures 4320mm long, 140mm shorter than the Toyota Prius, while width and height measures in at 1765mm and 1430mm respectively, 20mm and 50mm shorter than the Prius.
Lexus claims that the CT200h will have "superior handling agility", and has fitted it with McPherson/front- and double wishbone rear suspension, to go along with the 17-inch alloy wheels. There are three different driving modes to choose from, Eco, Normal and Sport, to adjust for different driving situations. Lexus will reveal more details about the CT200h at its official launch at the Geneva Motor Show.
