Lexus U.S.A launches the 2026 GX SUV
21 Oct 2025|112 views
The 2026 Lexus GX carries over from the prior model year and is offered in six grades: Premium, Premium+, Luxury, Luxury+, Overtrail, and Overtrail+.
It shares the GA-F platform introduced on the current-generation LX, which increases body rigidity and improves on-road handling. The platform is optimally engineered to withstand twisting off-road forces, maximise suspension performance, create stable wheel articulation, and offer consistent tyre contact, all while maintaining in-cabin stability.
Under its hood, a 3.4-litre V6 engine blurts out an output of 344bhp and 649Nm of torque. The SUV also comes with Full-Time 4WD as standard.
The 2026 GX has a square-body profile with a horizontal design motif. At the front, standard Triple-Beam LED headlamps and the grille opening have been strategically placed to help avoid potential road impact, with LED fog and cornering lamps available for increased visibility.
The 2026 GX will be offered in a number of exterior colour options depending on grade. This includes Eminent White Pearl, Nebula Gray Pearl, Atomic Silver, Incognito, Caviar, Nori Green Pearl, and Nightfall Mica. The Overtrail and Overtrail+ grades will offer exclusive bi-tone exterior colour combinations including Atomic Silver/Black Roof, Incognito/Black Roof, Nori Green Pearl/Black Roof, and Earth/Black Roof.
Inside the 2026 GX's driver-focussed cockpit, a low, horizontal instrument panel design carries into the dash. This connects the available Head-Up Display (HUD) to the centre, where the standard 14-inch Multimedia Touchscreen Display with Lexus Interface technology can be found.
The second row is available in two configurations: Captain's chairs or a 60:40 split-folding bench (Premium+, Luxury, Luxury+). A one-motion tumble system is featured for convenient access to the third row/luggage space. Heated and ventilated outboard seats are standard in the driver and front passenger seats, with available heated second-row seats.
Lexus has said that the 2026 GX will be assembled at its Tahara plant in Japan.
