Lexus has updated its flagship LX SUV for the 2026 model year, which now sees the introduction of a new F Sport Appearance Package, available exclusively on the LX 700h F Sport Handling. The refresh thus sees the Lexus LX being offered in five grades now: Premium, F Sport Handling, Luxury, Ultra Luxury, and Overtrail.
But back to the LX 700h F Sport Handling first: Said appearance package features a matt grey grille, black door handles, dark grey roof rails, dark chrome-finished windows and bumper trims, and black overfenders. The SUV is also adorned with 33-inch All-Terrain tires and 18-inch wheels, a front skid plate, and can be equipped in two or three-row configurations.
The 2026 LX 700h sits on the GA-F platform, which is said to offer increased body rigidity and improved on-road handling. In addition, the cab mount cushions attaching the body to the frame have been completely redesigned. By strengthening the joint rigidity during frame and body twisting, low-frequency vibrations have been significantly reduced, offering high durability and road noise insulation.
Power is plentiful too. Under the hood, the LX 700h is powered by a 3.4-litre V6 engine and a 12V battery that puts out 451bhp and 790Nm of torque.
Designed under the notion of "Dignified Sophistication", the LX's front A-pillars are pulled rearward to create a cab-backward design, and its spindle grille features a three-dimensional shape comprised of seven sets of floating bars. Its side radiator grilles also have large openings to ensure cooling performance.
In the LX 700h's driver-focused cockpit design, all essential controls and information are within the driver's reach and forward sightline
Up front, the LX's head lights also come with L-shaped clearance lamps with a three-dimensional shape. As for the rear combination lamps, taillights have been adopted that combine an L-shape and a continuous axial flow from the front to the shoulders, and then to the rear silhouette.
Depending on the grade, the LX is offered in seven exterior colour options: Eminent White Pearl, Atomic Silver, Manganese Luster, Nori Green Pearl, Caviar, Ultra White, and Earth; and five interior colours: Palomino, White/Peppercorn, Circuit Red, Black, and Stone Brown.
In addition, and also dependent on the grade, the LX offers four interior finishes: Brown Open-Pore Wood, Black Open-Pore Wood, Hadori Aluminium, and Takanoha Wood.
Inside, the 2026 LX lineup offers five massage options for the driver and front passenger seats when equipped with semi-aniline leather trim. A 60:40 split-folding second-row seat comes as standard on the 700h models, while three-row configured cars see their rearmost seats getting a 50:50 split.
All the way up front, a 12.3-inch upper touchscreen comes as standard and is complemented by an added LX-exclusive seven-inch lower touchscreen, which displays the climate control screen and vehicle information, such as the differential lock status and vehicle height control.
All 2026 Lexus LX grades will come with the Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 as standard, which includes features such as pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane tracing assist, lane departure alert with steering assist, and proactive driving assist.
