Maserati has announced it will mark 110 years of innovation and showcase its storied past, present, and future at the 2024 Monterey Car Week.
The firm is set to launch its Classiche department at the event with the showcase of a special edition MC12, making a nod to the firm's racing heritage. The model will be displayed alongside a host of the firm's current models including the GranTurismo Folgore, GranCabrio Folgore, Grecale Folgore (read our review of the petrol-powered Maserati Grecale here), as well as the GranCabrio Trofeo and MC20 Cielo. Private test drives will also be held at the event to offer a select few the option to experience the power of the GranCabrio Folgore, GranCabrio Trofeo, and MC20 Cielo.
Guests at the House of Maserati will be able to see the MC20 Tributo Modenese, which was created to pay homage to the city of Modena
Guests at the House of Maserati at the event will also be offered the chance to savour fine wines from brand partner Marchesi Antinori, while Sonus faber will offer guests the opportunity to discover elevated sound performance.
These guests will also be able to discover for the first time the MC20 Tributo Modenese, a one-of-one MC20 coupe created to pay homage to Modena, the city at the heart of Maserati.
Selected guests of Maserati at the event will also be able to test drive the firm's open-top models including the MC20 Cielo and the GranCabrio Folgore
Maserati is also set to unveil what it terms is a new 'super sports' car. Derived from the MC20, this new car will be presented by Maserati Global Head of Marketing and Communications Giovanni Perosino, together with Maserati Global Head of Design Klaus Busse.
The Maserati MC20 Icona Special Series will also be displayed at the Maserati stand at The Quail. Limited to just 20 examples, the model features a livery and exclusive content inspired by the MC12 Stradale.
Finally, the firm is set to make the first delivery of its MCXtrema, a track-only iteration of the MC20 at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Maserati Chief Test Driver Andrea Bertolini is scheduled to conduct a walk-around and driver brief with MCXtrema's new owner at the circuit.
